What Whole-House Re-Gas Means
Whole-house re-gas means replacing the gas piping that feeds your water heater, furnace, range, dryer, and any other gas-powered appliance in your home. Over time, black iron and older gas lines can corrode, develop small leaks at fittings, or simply be undersized for appliances that were added after the original install.
A re-gas project typically starts at the gas meter and runs new lines to each appliance connection point, replacing sections that no longer meet current code or that show signs of wear.
