Sewer Main Issues
The sewer main carries wastewater from the home out to the city connection or septic system. Multiple drains backing up at once, gurgling toilets, or sewage odor near a cleanout usually point to a sewer main problem rather than an isolated clogged drain. Root intrusion, aging clay or cast iron pipe, and bellied sections that hold standing water are the most common causes we find on camera inspection.
Depending on what the camera shows, a sewer main issue might call for hydro jetting, a spot repair, or in more serious cases a full re-drain of the affected section.
